I like the uncropped version best, that fuzzy grass just looks so great with the starkly black crows. With each crow you paint they become more and more lifelike!
Thank you so much, Ann, Sadami, Irina, Deb and Jane :)
Susan, thanks! The cropped version is just to give you a view closeup of the colors in the crows - I wouldn't get rid of that grass (took me too long to get it that way!).
Thanks so much, Carol, Gaylynn, Vicki, Jeanette and Pam! You all made me smile today - in spite of the rain :)
Everyone's response to this one surprised me. Although I like it, I'm never sure if it will resonate with others when I paint something I like. I'm glad everyone likes this one and was so complimentary. You've made up my mind about ONE of the paintings that will be in the upcoming June show :)
Beautiful finish, Rhonda!
ReplyDeleteDear Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteColor use and their body language are very impressive. The work tells me a story with sounds.
Kind regards, Sadami
The painting is so strong. And feels strange. True art.

It came out wonderfully, Rhonda. They are quite the pair, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! Excellent work :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful completion of these crows. The piece is fabulous, one of your best I think.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is certainly one of my favorites of your paintings.
ReplyDeleteOh la, la, Rhonda!!! This is a stunning piece, both in technique and narrative. Wow!

Great painting. I LOVE the title! The image is strong and I love the grasses in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Carol :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job Rhonda, that's my fave of the crow paintings!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nick. This one seems to ring true with others - what you want when you let a painting out into the world :)
