Love the Dinesen quote--I'll have to copy that! Since I live at the shore, on holiday weekends, everyone comes to me! I used to consider it something of a pain, but the older I get the more sentimental I am becoming about holidays like Memorial Day, the Fourth, and Veterans' Day.
You are such a lucky lady, Laura, to live by the sea, and to be able to paint it! That's my goal for my next lifetime :) Carol, hope you enjoy the workshop info :)
