Hello ! Very nice detailed work in Stranded. The texture is very well suggested and I think that the complementary contrasts announced in your previous post will add more and more interest to the painting.

You're running wide open Rhonda, lots of projects and paintings, I can't keep up! The flower is really beautiful, you have got that wet look working, #1 thing in w/c imo. Would I be correct in saying you naturally lean toward the cooler palette? Is there a red hot R. Carpenter out there, let's see it!
You are a busy man, Nick, so I don't expect you to keep up with me! ha ha And, yes, it's obvious I am an ice queen, winter palette, woman :) - it's got to have blues to make me happy! ha ha I have worked in warm colors (sometimes successfully, sometimes not), but my heart goes to the blues and violets and all things cooler..the colors in a Caribbean sea are just right for me.
oh, but it is ok if Stranded takes more time, after all it is more complex, right? both of them are looking good so far, lots of blue all around *yum*

ReplyDeleteOoooo, the fleur de lis is making wonderful progress. I love it's placement. The background keeps my eyes running over the whole piece.
