Lois did her pour as just a background "flavor" for the painting of sunflowers. She poured a yellow, a red and a blue and let them mingle and move and then drew on the dried background colors and started painting wet-in-wet. When I pour, I always pour the whole painting, only tweaking the end darks in areas - I like the idea of using the pour as just a first step for a loose background.
