I could study birds all my life and still not know everything, but I'm trying to learn the structure right now. A friend of mine got to go to the local university's collection of birds for biology study - she drew some and I said I should do that, too - I might plan that next month. Right now, I'm using good photos but holding one in my hand would be a very different aspect of learning the parts.
