MERMAID VASE AND PEARS - DONE?

I meant to photograph the next step after Step 1 but I seemed to be on a roll.

So...I think it's done.

that blue green colour goes great with the colours of the pears :D (is the bowl supposed to look like its floating, it looks ok, just asking ;) )

Thanks so much, Chris, Caroline, Debbie and Sadami! Jennifer Rose, I am trying to play more with objects not being quite right, perspectively (it's not easy for me to do it and feel great about it, but I think it's part of the style and new technique I'm playing with). So the shirt answer is yes, it's on it's side and floating, not grounded on anything.

it works well here, i am just so use to you trying to do the opposite, i was just wondering if it was on purpose :)

Very visually exciting with the tonal contrasts and bold juicy colours. This one is really special - one to frame and exhibit methinks. You are definitely on a roll with this, so glad you are sharing the ride. Thank you :o)

Thanks, Jennifer Rose and Lisa :) Yep, on purpose, JR :) I know it looks odd until you realize it's supposed to be that way (of course, then it still may look weird but artists are weird so....! ha ha) Lisa, thanks so much for those positive comments. This is my favorite so far and liking something I've done without picking parts of it apart is unusual for me so this one may become a show entry at some time.

I love the slightly abstracted, geometric look to this, a very successful painting!
