TROPICAL FRUIT GETTING CLOSE

The next stage is done.
Now I have just the main pod to finish before I dab a little color in that large white area to the left.  Slowly slowly.  (I see that white triangle draws the eye so need to push that back a bit, too.)

In the meantime, I have received my order from Dick Blick = mixed media blank cards and some hemp twine to pull apart for prints.
I'll be getting out my Gelli plate and acrylics soon to play a bit more.  (Playing loosely with other things helps me keep on track on the slowly progressing banana plant without overworking or rushing.

Thanks for your patience!

this looks great :D glad you already mention the tiny triangle, was going to say the same thing :) glad you are taking your time and not rushing this, I want to see it finished but taking your time gives yout he time to think about what you are going to do next.

watch the hemp fibres and your fingers, can be nasty if they get under your nails :/

Well ... your tropical fruit is looking GOOD! I must also came back to see how it turns out.
Rhonda, thank you for your kind words about the cat portrait. It is part of a commission of eight cats, and I have been very slow with it. Thankfully, the cats' owner is most patient. For almost two years, I did not feel like painting at all, but am raring to go again!

Thanks, Jennifer Rose. Apparently, I didn't pull the hemp fibers apart enough to get the fuzzy bits so no problems with this technique instead - may even go in with an acrylic pen in gold or silver and add that instead of the white lines?

Thanks, Kathryn (glad to see you back painting and drawing but I would never do a commission because I know the pressure I'd put on myself!). Eight cats? Whew! You go go go!!!
