BEE SERIES: BEE QUILT

Started another in the Bee Series paintings.  This one, called Bee Quilt and I haven't decided yet what to add to it within the "squares" but I'll come up with some collage or something...perhaps add some texture with string?  Ideas will be percolating for a while.

I haven't been painting much at all this month - migraines coming 1-2 times a week have kept me off kilter.  Because of that, I'm limiting my time on the computer down to just a couple times a week for short periods of time.

I'm trying many things to help get rid of these blue meanie migraines, and hoping they go away soon.

Hope you all are enjoying your September, and are being creative this month.

Rhonda I am already captivated by this painting. Will be looking forward to seeing it completed. Sorry to read about your migraine headaches. Praying you will be better soon. Please take care. Hugs!

Love more in the bee series, and this one will be interesting. I can certainly sympathize about the migraines, maybe just some weather related thing and they will pass.

Hi Rhonda,
I like the Bee Quilt and also your idea of adding additional patches of color within the existing block.
Sorry to learn the migraines are back in force. I hope the autumn brings relief, but it's just hope. Gotta have hope.
Sincerely,
Gary

You and I think alike - I had done a painting many years ago called, Quilting Bees, and it is still one of my most popular images.

Hope you feel better soon.

ugh, really hope the migraines go away, they are horrible :(

have you tried keeping a food/drink diary to see if anything is common for when you get migraines? chocolate is a no go for me, well cheap chocolate is ok but even then not a lot

the bee painting looks really good the way it is, but will be interesting to see what you decide to add to it :)

Thanks so much for the comments, everyone! More to come soon. So far, 2 days without a migraine - whoo hooo! Too much of anything (coffee, chocolate, salty things, too much sleep or too little, a change in routine, anything at all - bright lights out the window in the morning, etc - can give me a migraine right now - it's a touchy thing and my muscles are so tight and just a mess all down my neck and shoulders and back - ugh). Perhaps a day of meditation and tea...or just knock me out until October comes? ha ha

yay for 2 days without a migraine :)

sounds like you need a massage unless of course that could set one off :/

I made it 5 days, Jennifer Rose, and then another one - ugh! I had a good massage...seemed to ease things and help. Then had a second (from another massage therapist) that made it not feel better and I got a migraine the next day - not one to enjoy or stand intense pressure, I guess. Time for the medical experts and perhaps a CT Scan or something...

:( yeah sounds like some tests might be in order to make sure nothing is going on that shouldn't be
