GOLDEN LIGHT - WIP CONTINUES

Well, this is definitely a work in progress.  I darkened the Shadow Violet background by layering Moonglow over it.  But...maybe that was not a great idea.  I may need to touch in some dark greens in that purple background to make it look more like foliage...not sure.

For now, the following steps include adding some quin burnt scarlet and orange to the golden orange leaves, getting in some greens, and making sure I have the right values against the white areas to make it pop.

i like the contrast in colours, and I've seen purplish leaves before somewhere :)

This is a cool piece. The shapes are interesting and the contrasts work. It's fun to watch the process because what comes next is usually a surprise- your thought process in stages.

Oh this is coming along beautifully. My favorite color is Moonglow, did I ever mention that?

Dear Rhonda this is certainly coming along beautifully. The colors you are using are so eye catching as well as the composition. Take care and stay warm this week-end. It is very cold here too.

Thanks, Jennifer Rose, Alice Jo, Elizabeth and Debbie :) Unfortunately, I have to do it again - got too muddy thanks to my not liking the colors and trying to darken, change colors in midstream....ugh. Oh, well...learning.
