PLANT LIFE SERIES - THE LAST ONE

I really think this is the last one.  I did 5 "male" versions and 5 "female" versions and I think it's time to move on to something else.  Someday, who knows, I may have a show of these?

This one is titled

Plant Life:  Female No. 4

On a fourth sheet (11 x 15 inches) of Arches 140# cold press paper

Good Morning Rhonda,
I think this is my favorite of the series. It looks like it should be a lady slipper, if such a flower exists. It's a beautiful painting, as were they all. Sad to know you're moving on, but I have a feeling you'll be drawn back to this subject matter--maybe a little pun intended. :)
Have a good day!
Sincerely,
Gary.

Rhonda, you are on a roll with this series. Again I have to say that I believe you've found your niche in these. I think you would go from strength to strength if you pursued this in some form.

Whatever you choose, happy painting!

This is definitely one of my favorites too. I love the contrasts in it. Maybe you could have an online 'exhibition' with them all in one post? It's nice to see paintings in a group and it would be interesting to see how you would 'hang' them in a show. It would look fantastic I am sure.

I so love that you did this series. I find when I do a series, I learn so much, seeing more and more each time. And you're smart enough to know when to move on. Good job!

Thanks, Gary! It is actually closeup of an orchid. Took lots of photos of them when we visited an orchid show in British Columbia years ago. I am thinking about painting something using lots of greens - and I've always been afraid of greens! ha ha

Thanks so much, Deb, Lisa and Jeanette! I'm glad you've enjoyed the showing of these. Not sure how to do a video or photo roll of them on one post, Lisa, but might see what I can come up with.

Thanks, Elizabeth! You do learn when you do a series...but time to move on even if I continue with the plantlife things...

Thanks, Jennifer Rose and Cathy :) Someday I may be able to show them somewhere...right now they are piled in my art room (along with everything else! ha ha).
