PLANT LIFE - FEMALE

I started by painting the background, on 140# cold press watercolor paper (Arches) that had been brushed with a gesso mix to get some interesting textures.  Then the leaves and flowers were painted.

This one is

Plant Life:  Female

Hi Rhonda,
This is very nice, with a beautiful rhythm and flow. I really like your greens, too. that's a problem color for me--just too many possibilities.
Keep up the great work!
Sincerely,
Gary.

Thanks, Sadami and Gary. Gary, I was once afraid of greens but seem to have gotten over that recently - didn't work at it, it just happened!

Thanks, Vandy, Elizabeth and Jennifer Rose. Yes, O'Keeffe is always an inspiration :)

You've been doing some amazing pieces while I was away for the weekend. Love the swan and definitely see the male/female thing. All are lovely!
