ACRYLIC ON WATERCOLOR CANVAS

Primary Blues

Acrylic on watercolor canvas

This was once a crow painting but I didn't like it so just covered it with gesso and then dribbled, sprayed, added, wiped off, etc...to get to this.  Looks like that crow was still trying to show up, anyway!

Dear Rhonda isn't yes so wonderful. I use lots of it to cover up paintings I am not fond . Your marks on this piece are very dynamic. Really draws the eye in and makes a strong path to follow. Thank you for sharing. Hugs

Good Morning Rhonda,
This is a great canvas recovery painting! I feel happy looking at it, as it reminds me somehow of a carnival or circus. Lately, I've been looking at a lot of YouTube videos on abstract painting. From what I've learned, you already have all the techniques in your arsenal.
I like the energy of the work and the colors and that it's up to the viewer to interpret anything and everything it may, or may not refer to. Those videos make me wish I had a spacious studio outside the home again. The freedom to splash and splatter and generally go crazy on large canvasses is something I've always longed for. Maybe it's still not too late to "just do it"!
Have a wonderful, abstract day!!
Sincerely,
Gary.

You've been busy! I like the crow bleeding through but love the seascape below!

It certainly does look like the crow has left a bit of his spirit within this painting. Nice recovery job.

Thanks so much, Debbie, Gary, Jennifer Rose, Sherry and Elizabeth - I think you all like it more than I do as it was just a save of a bad painting...but maybe I'll see the beauty in it later...Gary, it would be fun to have a big studio where you could just throw paint and spritz water and act like a maniac for a while, using your whole body on a large canvas or paper!! I often don't know where I'm going with these abstracted pieces - one thing just leads to another, kind of like life!!
