UPDATED BIG BLUE FLOWER

This one sat around for a while, lacking something.  I finally decided to add orange to the center stamens (which look a bit brown since the orange was painted over blue).  Softened a bit and darkened a bit and I think it's done.

Dear Rhonda - what a lovely painting. Sometimes when we return to something later and get a fresh look we know what is needed. Hope you are having a beautiful day. Also praying that your health issues are not serious. Hugs!

I love the composition in this, Rhonda. Reminds me of the large flowers by Georgia O'Keefe which grab you right away. This is really dramatic! So glad you came back to this one and finished it. It's very stunning!

Is this on hot press paper? I love the flow of it. Beautiful Rhonda!

Thanks so much, EM, Lorraine, Debbie and Carol :) Carol K., this is just 140# cold press Arches paper. I rarely use hot press paper - in fact, I'm not sure I have any right now.

Absolutely gorgeous, Rhonda. Love how you did all the little tendrils at the center. A masterwork!
