ABSOLUTE ELSEWHERE

Well, I read something this week that talked about absolute elsewhere - it's a physics or maybe astrophysics idea.  And those words stuck with me.  Sometimes this is where you want to be:  the absolute elsewhere.

So that's where this came from - just those words and the idea of space time.

Watercolor on a fourth sheet (11 x 15 inches) of Arches 140# cold pressed paper after I had put down a layer of white gesso and let that dry.  So easy to lift off color as long as it isn't staining.

I think I need to give the two moons (or planets) a bit more interest because they look pretty flat here compared to the center moon or planet.

My watercolor class today will be painting on gessoed paper.  You can create some amazing texture using gesso over watercolor paper.

You have started the year off with some inspiring work. I looked at the last four posts. Did I see a little colour theme, all orange and red glimpses? Sometimes we do this without realising.
I do like the words and this painting, you look into it and get lost. I also have new products to try, gets the creative juices going. Loved the crow work.

I do like this Rhonda and you have caught something of the infinite and the mystery of the universe.

Thanks, Debbie, Milly and Mick :) Milly, I think we often choose certain colors without even thinking and I do tend to pull out those blues and violets a lot - but adding a pop of complementary color is what gives it life!
Mick, I'm going to admit that this started as a macro flower that was NOT working. Then I read that term about absolute elsewhere and it got me thinking... :) Thinking is good!

How magical and free flowing, the colours and effects of the water and paint are really effective, love it!

Looks like a galaxy far away ... Love those two words together: "absolute elsewhere"!

Thanks, Laura. Those two words resonated with me, too.
