AUTUMN CROW

Not done yet...we'll see where this one goes.

Autumn is almost here - where did the summer go?  (And why is it so hot and humid now?!?)

Got an email from a stranger asking me if I'd mail paintings internationally (although he didn't say where he was located), and when I said he could pay by PayPal, he gave me reasons why he couldn't.  Think this is a scam?  Yep, I do!!  Beware when there is not enough information on the requestors side to tell you who they are or where they are or how they are going to pay for artwork (which was never mentioned by name).

Picked up my two paintings from the GCWS Show at the Barn yesterday morning.  Six paintings sold, but mine were not among the happy few.

Dear Rhonda - I will be waiting to see where it goes as well. Sherry at Opined Whimsy mentioned a similar request - does sound like a scam! Take care and have a great day.

I love this Rhonda. It may be done just the way it is!

And yes, it's a scam!

This is looking sharp, Rhonda!! I got the same email. I too said PayPal and never heard back. I knew it was a scam when he mentioned my "gallery." I do not have a "gallery."

Thanks, Debbie, Carol and Sherry. Sherry, guess that email is going around - he mentioned my "gallery" too! ha ha Glad scammers like this aren't that smart (and usually don't know English enough not to make major mistakes in the email).

I love the mottled effect of the crow. I agree that it may well be done as it stands.

There are always scammers out there but they're usually pretty easy to spot these days. They obviously haven't evolved much over time. :)

Thanks, Jeanette! For some reason the flowers don't look finished but maybe they are and I need to let it sit a while and look at it again with fresh eyes later. It does seem like the email scammers haven't evolved but it's scary to think about those who can hack into major companies, including the US Govt. sites now - I know those must be backed by certain countries.
