GRANDS

Oldest granddaughter.
She will be turning 14 soon!

Youngest grandson (well, only grandson and also the youngest of the grandkids).  He just turned 6 this summer.

This portrait is not done - just a few washes and that black collar on the shirt so more to do to deepen the colors and get it to work.

And I have the third grandkid started with a loose wash, nothing more.  We'll hope I can pull these all off!  Going slowly so I don't rush and ruin anything.

Dear Rhonda, good work! Especially, I like the boy. I've got why you were talking about portraits. I hope you can make a happy work. Cheers, Sadami

Bravo Rhonda,
Not an easy project, but it looks like you've made a great start. Looking forward to seeing these portraits develop.
Have a good day!
Sincerely,
Gary.

Thanks so much, Sadami, Sherry, Debbie and Gary!! Sherry, I was thinking of these as presents - but may not be happy enough with them. Every time I paint a portrait I tell myself I need to practice more - and then don't!! How will I ever get better at that?

Oh, how wonderful. These are beautiful portraits of beautiful grandchildren. I find portraits to be impossible.

Thanks so much, Carol. Two are close to being done; one I think will be a total do-over.

What a charming set of portraits, Rhonda. I'll look forward to seeing all three when you complete them. I see the resemblance between these two. Wonderful colors in the granddaughter's portrait. The blonde hair against the gorgeous purple background. I like the way her hair falls echoing the vertical drips of paint. Stunning!!
