OVER THE EDGE

Another small (fourth sheet) to have matted and framed for a show.

For the non-juried shows, you just tell them what you want to enter, pay your fee, and take them in on the due date for drop off.

I've always liked this one because of the glow but I did darken and lighten some areas - now I consider it finished.

What beautiful colors and such a whimsical idea! Somehow, my mind went to the hookah smoking caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland. I love the way you think, Rhonda!

Thanks, Carol. I took it in this morning to be matted and framed for a show coming up next month. I wish I could paint this loose and watercolor-y all the time.
Sherry, you're right! And I just watched Alice in Wonderland (the newest one) last week and realized that Alan Rickman was the voice of the hookah-smoking caterpillar :) This little green snail was seen and photographed on a trek in the woods in Belize a few years' back.

Dear Rhonda - wishing you the best in your show. You really did catch the glow...looks like a winner to me. Have a great week.

Thanks, Debbie. As the saying goes, "From your mouth to God's ear"! ha ha These non-juried shows still give monetary prizes but nothing too large; still, I wouldn't turn a $ prize down! ha ha
