ROSEATE SPLASHING STUDY PLUS

Next step on the study.  I've removed the masking fluid and will need to refine the water and put in some darker areas.  I don't like the hard edges in the back of the wings and I'll need to soften those and put in some water at the ends of the wings on the viewer's right side.

I've cut the large sheet of Arches from the roll I purchased years ago.  Hard to handle but I think it will do.
33 x 45 inches
Drying on my kitchen table.

Watercolor class this morning.
I hope you are doing something creative today!

I am so excited to watch this unfold. As one who is too impatient to " plan things out" I am in awe of your process on this one. No matter the outcome lessons will be learned by all! Thanks for sharing.

I'm probably in the minority but I love hard edges at times. I think they work beautifully for bringing the roseate forward and lending to depth. This is looking fabulous, Rhonda!!

Rhonda - I think this is going to be so lovely. Am anxious to see it finished. Your choice of colors are so lovely.

I see you are using Arches paper...I have been trying out other types but seems like Arches is my favorite.

Take care and have a great week-end.
