NO PAINTING BUT MORE PHOTOS

I'm not painting right now.  I am thinking about a large painting I need to do to make the deadline for the upcoming Cincinnati Art Club Viewpoint juried show.  Deadline isn't until July 1 but you know how that goes - if I don't start thinking and planning and maybe doing little studies now, I won't have anything for the show.  So...I have some ideas.  Now to do some drawing and small paintings to see if those ideas work.

Until then, here are a few more photos from our recent trip to the St. Augustine, Florida area.  This first one was actually taken of a Roseate Spoonbill (gorgeous bodies, UGLY faces!) at the Jacksonville Zoo.

I love the way the water carves the sand on the Matanzas Inlet beach where we stayed all week.

Mother Nature sculpting such interesting shapes!

Ducks doing their morning yoga at the Jacksonville Zoo.

Woodstorks making a nest in view of the waning moon (at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm).

Have a great weekend!

Hi Rhonda, what wonderful photos. The sand shapes look like feathers to me. Great caption "doing their morning yoga." Sounds like you had a great visit there.

The sand shapes do look like feathers, Carol! Guess that's why I like them so much :)

Sadami, I try to be nice to myself but it's not easy all the time :) Another chocolate is what I need! ha ha

Nice photos, Rhonda. I especially like the one of the ducks--the emerald green water and the softness of the ducks' feathers.
You're smart to gather your resources!
When I had a big paper to write in school I'd do nothing until a day or two before it was due: and then all the ideas that'd been percolating would come out. (I should try applying that to my painting!)

Oh I'm sure you'll have something ready on time for the juried show Rhonda, I'm trying to figure what you have planned but nothing comes to mind, guess those yoga ducks have blocked everything else, great photo!

Can't wait to see what you come up with for your show, Rhonda. And I love the photos; always do love photos in which Mother Nature is the star.
