JEWELED CROW

I think she is finished.  I think she is looking down at her reflection in the shadows (which I should have made more colorful, now that I think of it!!).  Ah, second guessing again :)

Everything here in northern KY is so green and pretty and lush.  I would miss this season if we moved to Florida, but I wouldn't miss the winter.  I guess you cannot have it both ways unless you have two separate homes.  I hope, wherever you are, you are having a beautiful season - spring or fall.

Now time to go through all those vacation photos and see what is inspiring.

Hi there Rhonda!... This dude's something to really "crow" about! Great colour!

Loved your vacation photos as well! I share your feelings about being comfortable in my own neck-o'-the- woods... no matter the weather. Winter offers painting opportunities and beauty that only exists in a northern winter landscape!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

She's wonderful! I really admire the colors you used here... it's so creative and evokes a strong mood to the piece. Wow! This is one of my favorites among your beautiful series of bird paintings for sure!

Thanks, Bruce and Katherine!

Rhonda, I looked up this kind of bird on line, to see what it was I was seeing about the wing . . . and I realized I'm just a bird ignoramus. (-:
I'll not critique the shapes of birds any more, especially as I never paint them. Looks just wonderful to me. Meanwhile, quite envious of your Florida vacation.

Beautiful! And well-named: it is very jewellike painting!
We have had your cold rain the last two days, but everything's greening here too, and the lilacs are about to bloom.

Thanks so much, Laura, Caroline and Jane, for your comments - you can always count on my returning to crows now and then :) Laura, my lilac bush in the front yard is so wimpy - no blooms at all (hope the frost didn't kill the blooms off before they got hardy).
