I did add a bit darker on the bill and around the eyes. Nothing else done to this one. I like it and it was so simple and easy - just flowed. That's what I want (but rarely get) when I'm painting in watercolor.

What a beauty, Rhonda! So many of our early mornings have a misty fog in the lowcountry. The egrets are always in the marsh appearing and disappearing in the fog. Yup, just lovely!
Would love to see a touch of very light gray (almost white) reflection in the upper right quadrant of it's eye. Sorry…. birder here.

Rhonda - catching up on all of your previous posts. Your finch is beautiful...I have never figured out why they are red but call them purple finches. If you find out let me know - I think house finch certainly works better. As for your ghost heron - fabulous. Can really see that you did catch the flow - probably discovered that special zone. Now if you could send it my way!
