EIGHTY HOURS

My sister worked her fingers to the bone this holiday season and just look what she made me!!!

A lovely afghan in 4 shades of blue!  She said it was 80 hours of work, and it will be my favorite thing in the livingroom now.  I have it draped over the back of a chair so when I'm not using it to snuggle on these cold winter days, I can look over and see it.  What a wonderful present!!!

She made my Sweetie and her sweetie a lap afghan (shorter than this one) but I asked for one a bit longer so it will cover my tootsies when I snuggle on the sofa so she had to make an extra piece for this.  She made a terry cloth robe for our mother, too - guess she was busy!!

I've missed a lot this past week, Rhonda! I love the great blue herons you painted, both of them. I don't think the second looks goofy at all. Not much into tennis, but always wished I could play. Did catch a minute of one of the Williams' sisters playing the other day and I know she won. Glad your students are back too. You always think of fun things to do with them!

This is Love, knitted in the afghan.
The colors are so vivid! Though sorry for your sister's fingers...

How lovely! I used to crochet afghans years ago but would have taken me longer than that!!! This one looks very soft and warm. You are lucky to have such a good sister!

It's gorgeous--and my favorite color! I'm a knitter--a slow, error-prone one--so I can attest that your sister devoted a lot of time to this beautiful artwork!

Yes, Sherry, humbird, Maggie, Deb, and Laura, my sister must really love me! ha ha I'm not sure I would have spent 80 hours like this, but I would have painted for 80 hours, probably! ha ha
