COLD ENOUGH FOR YOU?

Cold enough for you?
Why, yes, yes it is!!!

9F is pretty cold enough!

But I am finding the brambles and vines and shrubs covered in snow very interesting right now - perhaps some drawings will come from these photos of a snow, cold, grey day.

Dear Rhonda - it is snowing and cold here and to get much colder over night. Beautiful pics - I am sure you will find something out of these to paint. Have a lovely start to the new year.

Hi, Rhonda, thank u for beautiful photos. I miss snow. Hot! The inside of Australia, it is 50'C = 122F!!! No joke, you can make a roast chicken on a street. Farmers struggle in draught.
Best wishes, Sadami

I think that weather's heading my way ...
I love bare trees, especially when coated in ice: it's like a fairy tale.

Yes - it is cold enough for me!!! Your beautiful snowy photographs even make me shiver and there is much colder weather ahead of us next week. Yuk! I think it is a good time to paint indoors! ...Or read...Or bake...etc.

You've certainly got the icy weather over there. We've not had much cold yet, but we've got gales and high winds heading our way over the next few days. It's going to be a stormy weekend.

The strange thing was our weather guessers kept saying, Oh, it's almost over, nothing to worry about, just some flurries, etc. - and it began to snow and blow snow and get colder and colder and freeze on the roads and sidewalks and it was horrid for people who had to get home this evening, I'm sure. I think our weather team, no matter what channel, are pretty useless.

I know it's going to be colder and more snow in your area Debbie, Laura, and Barb - stay inside and stay safe.

Sadami, I saw where Australia temps in the interior were 122F!!! Holy cow!!!

Vandy, yes, you've had the gale force winds - stay safe!!

Beautiful photos, but ice and power outages are scary; I'm in a warmer zone.

I look forward to more birds--in your paintings, and in these trees.

Its freeeeeeezing here these last couple of days. 3F here with a wind chill of -22F. Now a blizzard and and a load more snow and extreme cold again tomorrow. Yuck!

Winter does show its bones however and makes for interesting images to photograph and paint.

Wrap up warm!

We're below 0 this morning here. Hope everyone is wise about venturing out in the cold!

Hallie, Jeanette (BRRRR!!!!), and Sherry - tooo cold!!! We got worse weather than our weather guessers were saying we would and it blew all the snow across the roads and iced them up pretty badly. I am glad I didn't have to be out yesterday - but today I do have to get out for a while. Just cancelled an appointment Monday - it's supposed to be a high of -5F!!! What??? Send some of that hot weather our way, Sadami :)
