ONE WORD WEDNESDAY

Angry

This actually deserves more than one word.  Kentucky, the great horned owl Sweetie cares for at the raptor rehab, is a real persnickity thing.  If you don't feed him enough and his paper plate is empty before he thinks it should be, he starts hissing and tearing the paper plate into pieces!  Guess he's like most of us and doesn't like being on a diet.

You might say he's a real Angry Bird!

Dear Rhonda - this is a great picture. Aren't owls full of personality? Have a great day.

Glad you enjoyed the photo, Debbie and Kathryn. Owls are very interesting birds. When this one is brought to our annual Christmas party, it's hard not to just forget he's there - until you walk behind him on your way to another room and he turns his head slowly and gives you the owl eye like he'd like to pounce on you! ha ha I do like to hear them hooting at night around the house in the fall.

Renate, it's a long way to go for you! I don't do it because I have a fear of big bird beaks - I used to work for a veterinarian and would always dread having parrots and other birds come in - didn't mind the crazy cats or the big scary dogs, though.

I know it's too far away. It's just a little dream of me to become a assistent vet:)
