GREENS AND BLUES

A bit looser, a bit bigger brush.  Easy to not draw anything here - in fact, what would you draw?

I love it as it is. I can focus on the sky which has some beautiful swirls and washes of blue. You paint with such confidence Rhonda.

Thanks so much, Caroline :) You made me smile.

It is beautiful as it is, and is reminiscent of the summer; missing the warmth very much now xx

This is a wonderful sky - it works! This painting speaks for itself.

Looks finished to me. That sky is wonderful!

Claire, I am missing the warmth, too, although we did have sun today :) Thank you for your comment.

Thanks, Barb and Vicki :)

There is really good recession in the sky, I feel like I can float right through. I can't wait to see a blue sky like that, you are such a tease ;o)

Hi, Rhonda,
Take it easy. Please put your health first.

Love the 'top of the mountain' feel of this. Great aerial
perspective and such a yummy sky! Love all the shades of green.

ah a girl after my own heart--you've nailed the 'beyond' beautifully-so rhythmic and enticing

Its good to test the boundaries without a guide of a drawing beneath. It provides a certain freedom to experiment and just let paint flow.

Lisa, Sherry, Pam and Jan: Thanks for the comments - glad you like it.

Hi, Sadami; I'm trying to be healthy but it's not easy! ha ha Bad habits are hard to break!

Thanks, Jeanette. Letting the paint do it's thing is the hardest thing for a control freak who just wants to do "one more thing" and then it's overdone! Loving your encaustics - you are always stretching the boundaries.

You are doing such a great job on the "not drawing" Rhonda:) Like you did it always this way. This sky is so beautiful and natural. So nice!

Thanks, Renate. I used a photo of a highway and the clouds and trees but left out the highway so had a lot of leeway with what I wanted to put in and leave out. Mostly, it was about the sky.
