WINTER FOR SOME OF YOU

Although the temperatures have dropped down to 40F here, we still have rain, no snow.  I am grateful for that because I have never been a snow bunny.  I know some of you are having a real winter with lots of snow and ice and cold.  I hope, if you live in places that got hit with the latest winter storm, you enjoy the snow.
No snow for me, thank you very much, but I did receive this lovely little poem yesterday and wanted to share it with you...

Dust of Snow
 by Robert Frost

The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree

Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.

Ol' Robert can really speak to the heart. I see Crow inspiration here :) Happy Sunday! 74 degrees here and later thunderstorms!

Ok Rhonda, I think that's your cue to paint one of your beautiful crows knocking the snow out of a tree onto other crows below maybe. Don't you think they are probably pranksters? I'd take this as a sign the crows are caw-ling you back.....

Yes, a simple but very lovely little poem, Pam :) 74F??? Wow! I want to be there!

Carol, I think the crows are calling me again. Each morning at 7:30 am and again at 8:30 am I hear our local crow gang cawing overhead as they fly by...I'm told I have to put out corn for them to stop and haven't done that yet since we haven't had any snow or bad weather and I assume they are able to get lots of things to eat on the ground. I may have to do this soon, anyway and see if I can bring them here to land for a while.

Why I was reading a Robert Frost poem yesterday myself! thank you for posting his very fine poem Rhonda I am a fan of his work. No snow here and the sun is shining upon the distant forest seen from my window. It is chilly though. I can't wait for spring to arrive. Hope to see some more crow beauties here soon.

Caroline, Frost is one of my favorite poets I have enjoyed since I was a teen. We are supposed to get 1/2 inch of snow by morning - we'll see.
