THE LAST OF MY GLORY DAYS

The Last of My Glory Days
Half sheet Arches 140# cold press watercolor paper, using watercolor, graphite, Mary Beth Shaw's Wood Icing (that creates a raised texture) for the enso's all over it, and lots of spraying and letting the paint run.

Why the title?  Well, I've got a birthday coming up later this month and this looks like the aftermath of a party/good time - and who's going to clean up all that mess?  Not the birthday girl!

Teresa, I don't clean most of the time, I would never do it on my birthday! ha ha

Thanks, Carrie. I have a few days yet but I feel this one sneaking up on me :)

MaryBeth, we all can't stay young, beautiful and full of life like you - the rest of us just get old! ha ha

As they say, It's your party. I see the possibility of at least 2 and up to 4 paintings within this one.

I see exuberance ... maybe messy exuberance? ;-) I like the shapes and colors and how they move across the page. I had a birthday that I haven't recovered from yet: you're right, some are harder than others!

Thanks so much, Suzanne and Kevin (4 paintings? I guess that's good - they say an abstract should look good when placed in any direction but I did tend to paint it so the drips run down).

Thanks, Sherry, Jane and Laura! Laura, 55 is going to be a hard one - so close to, gulp, 60!!
