CATCHING UP

After spending the week going back and forth to the hospital to watch over my mother and help her (she was admitted Tuesday morning to emergency with a BP of 280/190 and labored breathing), I am glad I had a few things preset to post.  Sorry I couldn't comment on many things but I will try to catch up now (Mom was released yesterday afternoon and I got her home and got all her meds).

Hope you all are having a good weekend.  The sun in shining after days of rain and cold.  It's cold every morning with frost on the birdbath, but, heck, it IS winter!

After catching up on my work at home, I hope to be able to take some time to paint a bit so check back later...

I hope your mom feels better soon, and wish you strength and time to paint, Rhonda. We've been having cold and rain too and its NOT winter!!

Thanks so much, Lisa, Carol, Cindi, and Cathy, for your concerns about my mother/mom/mum! I think things will be better - until the next time (what can you do with a stubborn parent who stops taking pills because she just doesn't like taking pills - OMG! That's where I get it! ha ha). I'll have something to share, soon.

Glad your mom is back home and hopefully stable, Rhonda. I know it had to be a hectic and worry filled week. Hope you are able to just take a breather before getting back to painting.

Healing prayers for your Mom! It is so difficult with an aging parent when they decide to buck the system. All you can do is provide the best care you can, know you've done your best and give lots of love.

I'm visiting this post after viewing finished Caw Girl. The size ratio never even entered my mind.... I'm still tickled with this piece even though it's not what you had in mind.
