RAIN CROW

A small painting that came easily.

1/4 sheet Arches 140# paper

Rain Crow

My little art room is slowly being filled with crows - and that is just fine with me.

I'm really liking your paint applications to create atmosphere-i don't work much with watercolour but know how challenging it can be-both Rain Crow and Mermaid Crow are fabulous ie mood -and i so love how you've captured their gesture and physical prescence-such an intriguing species-and you make them more so-don't stop!

I love this little guy! Also love the direction in the sky/background area.

Caw, Caw. I like this rain crow. I know you can paint crows. I really like the raincloud and the rain!

I love your crows a gathering! All your crow paintings are spirited. :)

Mine will be ravens. I have at least one raven painting in mind, though I think a series could come of it... when it does...:)

What could be better than a room full of crows? I might be noisy but it will be interestings--I always love your crows.

This is sweet, but evocative also. I love the clouds in this one, especially.

Thanks so much, Jan!

Thanks, Maggie. I confess, seeing one of the 100 washes paintings in the past made me want to try a rainy sky like this :)

Thanks, Carol. I was pleased with the sky, too.

Elizabeth, thanks!

Dabs, I bet you have lots of raven pics from your time in Alaska!! You should give them a try - I consider the crow a sort of totem animal for me for some reason.

These crows aren't too noisy, Hallie :)

Thanks so much, Laura, Sherry and Susan :)

Thanks, Pam. This one came together easily - not always the way it goes but I'll take it when it happens. Full moon coming up soon!
