LIVES PAST - FINISHED

I had to do some house cleaning (yep, I have to do it once a month, whether it needs it or not! ha ha)  And this painting just kept staring at me!  So I had to go back and finish it.

Done!

9 1/4" x 24 1/4"
on Saunders Waterford coldpress 140# paper

Of course, now the nautilus is saying, "What about me???"  So in between some laundry, I'll go back to revisit it and get in those darks and try to get it more watery and flowing inside those sections.  Wish me luck - and have a wonderful weekend.

This is such a cool and unusual subject, Rhonda, that I think you should enter it into a show. I really like it.

Thanks, Michelle. Not sure it would go over well in my area but worth a try :)

Michelle is right! This is unusual and very creative. It is also very well painted - definitely show material!

Fantastic painting. I love the subject and composition. I agree with Michelle, you should enter it into a show. Good luck with the house cleaning. I keep wishing the cleaning fairies would make a visit to my home but they only seem to come on an occasional mother's day.

Thanks so much, Barb, Michelle, Ann, Leslie and Jeanette! I'm surprised at the response to this one as it's not what I'm getting here when I show it to people! ha ha Oh, well, it's a small town atmospher and I think it's a good painting, too, but maybe not show worthy in my area.

I love that you often counter design 'rules of thumb' in your pieces and come out shining :) Your placement and size of 'an even amount of items' works..... gloriously!

I loved them before, and I love them even more now...gorgeous! And so original.
Have a nice Sunday.

Thanks, Pam. They say learn the rules and then break them :)

Thanks, Jane!
