SHORT BREAK

I did start over on the figure in red and black that I shared the other day.  Going slow.  Might have to take longer breaks from the computer since I seem to have strained my neck.  Hurts - don't have much range of motion.  How did this happen?  Doing Pilates and Yoga in order to not hurt my back, I strained my neck - and going to the hairdresser yesterday and bending my head back over the shampoo bowl = more strain on strain.  Ouch!

And today had my eyes examined - so can't see well.  It takes HOURS for my eyes to return to normal after all the drops the doc puts in - I look like an owl with huge black eyes! ha ha

So...whenever I get back to normal - or closer to it...I'll be back drawing, painting and posting.  Until then,
Have a Good Weekend.

It's warm here - over 50F!!!! Hints of spring coming :)

You're making me laugh. I have all those same problems. Trying to look at the computer with boficals does strain the neck! Hope to see some artwork soon.

Thanks for the comments, friends :) On top of everything else, I got a migraine yesterday after the visit to the optomotrist!! Stuff on top of stuff on top of stuff!! Better today, though, except for the neck. I may paint a bit today...or post something about Alice Neel (have to get that ready).

Thanks so much, Jane, Ann and Gretchen - still painful but not as much as Friday so it's getting better. The weather has turned cold and rainy now so I missed all the warm sunshiny days this time. Did a bit of painting from the figure lessons yesterday but no time to upload photos...maybe tomorrow.

Rhonda - You really fixed yourself up this time! So many things happening to you at once...sorry.

Katherine Thomas - I found that the neck strain from looking through bifocals at the computer was too much so I looked at my eyeglass prescription for the bifocal strength and went to the drugstore and bought a pair of "readers" in that strength; that way you don't have to keep finding the sweet spot on your regular glasses by lifting your chin, the whole lens is the strength you need.

Susan, I'm just perfectly fine most of the time but when something happens, it seems to all happen at one time. A true sign of getting old. I keep telling everyone I'm too old to exercise, since I keep hurting myself when I do it. My Sweetie says I try to do too much and then am off 2-3 days because of injury (perhaps I do it intentionally so I don't have to exercise every day? ha ha!!) I don't mind the bifocals with the computer - I think I have the screen at the right height - it's needed stronger bifocals that is the problem now. Glasses to choose (ugh) and buy (ouch) next week.

Dear Rhonda,
Please be kind to yourself. Give yourself much, much indulgence. Put your health first.
