IDLE HANDS

I admit, I haven't been very creative lately.  But I did this little doodle while watching a somewhat less than exciting match at the Australian Open the other day.  Can you see the influence of all those tennis balls and racquests?

And since I don't have anything colorful to share with you, how about this:  The Art of Watercolour magazine published in France - you can view every page and read the articles and see the paintings - gorgeous work and one of my favorite watercolorists, Carol Carter, is featured, in this issue.

I like this uncontrolled creativity. Feels very sporty. And joyful.
And thank you for the link.

Hi Rhonda, I love "doodles" like yours; they're so engrossing to draw! And I think they look wonderful just as they are.

Rhonda, great doodles!
I really enjoyed going through that online magazine! Love Shirley Trevena's paintings full of color and light! The pages on Carol Carter are most interesting. Thank you so much for the link!

Thanks, Irina, Peggy and Tim :)

Jane, I liked Sue Rabira's work in that mag, too. I think they compared her to Egon Schiele but I don't see that at all - but had to laugh about the portrait with the fish :)

Christiane, Shirley's work is wild and colorful but Carol's watercolors will always be my faves :) I would love to get this mag in a subscription but not sure how to do it - perhaps through PayPal.

Thanks, Carol and Pam. It's fun to just start somewhere and see where it goes, finally filling the page with doodles :)

I can see the tennis balls and hear the pops of the racquet hitting them. Love your doodle!

Thanks, Linda. I love doing things like this but often forget to grab the sketchbook and doodle.
