PORTRAIT: PUTTING THE DARKNESS BEHIND HER

Still trying to keep up with my challenge to paint one portrait every week.  Sometimes I get behind and then have to catch up.

Great contrasts here that really work well. I like the strong colours and dark mood of it.

Thank you, Jeanette :) I liked it but wasn't sure about others' take on it - glad you like it.

Carlos, Gracias!!

Thanks, Ann :) Glad you like it. At the end of the year, I'll have to show all of the portraits I've done.

Love the drama on this portrait Rhonda. I'm new to this portrait stuff and am finding that it is adictive for sure.

Love your lights and overall drama you've painted here, Rhonda.

Mollie, I appreciate your comments very much. Seeing your portraits, I can't believe you haven't mastered this - it sure looks like it! Love your touch with watercolors and your light handling to shape the planes of the face and get that light in their eyes.

Wow Rhonda, this one definitely says something! Very good light/dark contrasts and I love her pensive expression.
