LOUISIANA SHORELINE FINISHED

A compilation/composition of a volunteer worker, a white ibis, and a little cattle egret...and the water...always the water.

Closeup of the cattle egret in the bottom right of the painting.

The painting is on a full sheet (22" x 30") Arches watercolor paper 140#.

"The least movement is important to all nature. The entire ocean is affected by a pebble." Blaise Pascal

Check out the other paintings done for the Gulf of Mexico challenge created by Suzette McDermott over at her blog...see my sidebar for the link.

Great finish, Rhonda. Bet it looks impressive in real life.

Thanks, Suzanne. I'm glad you asked me to join in and that I could do so :)
Ann, thanks! I think for my next painting I'll go back to 1/2 sheet - a full sheet is a bit unwieldy in my little room...although I'm not giving up on painting bigger.

Wonderful representation for the challenge! I love that you added the volunteer along with the wildlife.

Hey, Diahn, glad to have you stop by and comment - I enjoyed your Gulf challenge painting, too. The people who are trying to help are a big part of what the area's future will be...I hope they can do everything in their power to help and aren't hindered by red tape and the usual runaround and blame game.
