OCTOBER COMES IN WITH FOG AND RAIN

Yesterday morning we had a beautiful foggy morning. It lasted long into the day.

Walking outside on the deck to fill the feeders, you could sense the tension in the drops of water, waiting to fall from the heavily laden leaves and branches of the trees.

I like foggy mornings when I don't have to get out and go but can just look out and watch the day slowly come into focus.

But today, no fog. Just rain...and more rain...and some more rain, thank you very much. I think we are stuck somehow in this trough of wet weather. It reminds me of that commercial from a few year's back:
Kids in yellow macs and wellies trudging through the puddles singing,
We are whippersinkers, we're in luck...if it rains all day, we'll quack like a duck!
Now where did I put my yellow mac???

Will see you there, MB = Booth 51 (I'm not really a stalker, just want to be sure to get to your booth before my husband starts lagging and says, "How much longer are we going to be here? The Bengals are on at 1:00." ha ha)

Thanks, Bill. I do love foggy mornings...as long as I don't have to drive anywhere and avoid deer in the roads :)

Lovely fog photos! I agree fog is always better when you can enjoy it from home.

Thanks, Jane. There is something about fog that makes me want to take a walk in it...not sure why.
