TEST OF SLIDE.COM

This is a test of slide.com to see if I can make it work here. And it is a showing of the photos for the self-portrait challenge from David Lobenberg's new blog. These are the best I have in hats...and a caveat: I did not have any makeup on and my face looks awfully shiny (yes, I still have oily skin at 52!!!). Choose a favorite, if you want to do so...I may have to try to do a couple of these.

I vote for the one with the bowler, where you are wearing the red shirt and with your left hand behind your neck. That is you!

PS The slide show works great!

I love the one where you're looking straight at the camera, one hand on your hat brim, one on the back of your head!
(oily skin is a good thing - staves off wrinkles!)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Lolly! Love your blog :) It's so bright and refreshing and interesting how you've created the template.
2 votes for the bowler with hand behind neck... :)
Angela, yes, people tell me I'm lucky that I still have oily skin...since I don't have many wrinkles, I guess it's true.

I vote for the bowler with hand behind neck. If you feel really ambitious, you could do a series and use all three bowler photos. (Of course, this comment comes from a woman who has taken a week to sketch one tree for a watercolor painting.:)) The way you've displayed the photos is cool.

P.S Oily skin at 52 is way cool.

Well, I also voted for the one with the bowler and your left hand behind your head!! (And I'm amazed at how a change of hat changes your appearance. It's like different facets of personality show up!!)

Thanks for casting your votes, Candy and Chris! It seems the bowler with hand behind head is the one :) Candy, I like the idea of doing a series but knowing me it won't get past the one portrait.

Rhonda Bowler 1 is my favorite. Has nice contrast, whihc will make it easier to paint.

I'm late here, but agree about the bowler with hand behind neck, (I rather like the green beret too). Your skin looks fabulous - be glad for the extra oil! Would love to do this S.P. - not enough hours in the day...

Thanks, Kathy and Cathy :) for your comments on this. Seems unanimous! Now we'll see when I get up the nerve to even try...maybe need to watch my Janet Rogers DVD again to get me motivated.
