Summer's Bounty

The WatercolorWorkshop Yahoo group has a monthly challenge to paint fruits and vegetables for June. This painting came from a photo taken by Janet who gave everyone permission to use it. The watermelon just called to me, and I like the shadows. I want to try to leave whites here and there, too.

So...here's where I am so far. Need to put in the dark seeds of the mangoes and a few touch-ups here and there and I should finish it tomorrow.

Good so far, Sandy :) I know me - so I misketed after I put the initial colors in to keep myself off some of the whites! When will I learn?

Looking good Rhonda. I like the medley of color in the fruits, yummy.

Thanks, Ann :) I'm liking this and need to get back painting today after running lots of errands this morning.
